I was born on Leap Year Day.

I was a Cultural Ambassador to Australia at the age of 17.

I lived in a mud hut in West Africa for over 3 years.

I worked as a kayak guide on the Chicago River for 4 years.

I’ve planted over 2000 trees with my own hands.

I biked through 3 West African countries. Solo.

I serve on my local park district board.

I’ve traveled through 30 different countries.

I’m an extra in Batman Begins, Transformers 2, The Express, and Contagion.

I've been attacked by hippos. Five separate times.

I play four instruments and used to harmonica in a funk band.

I have a BA in English with a Creative Writing emphasis and minor in Philosophy. It’s been super useful.

I attended Chicago Portfolio School (RIP) and Second City School.

I edit my local church’s weekly newsletter.

I helped my wife launch her consultancy business.

I’ve kayaked on 4 different continents.
